The world is changing. Technology is increasingly getting more and more advanced. And you’d think it’s only natural that workplaces would follow suit, but for some industries, professionals are stuck in their old ways. Until that is, people like Robert Simon get involved. Simon co-founded a technology-driven business called Justice HQ that helps advance the legal industry by combining networking and modern technology.
Where’d you come up with the idea for Justice HQ?
Robert Simon: I remember back to when I founded The Simon Group in 2009. Back then, it was much harder to start your own practice, and there was a lot more overhead than what you need now. I graduated from Law School, and it took me three years to save up enough money to start my own firm with my twin brother.
Over ten years, we grew fast, and people started to see us as an authority in the legal field. We got many resumes from great lawyers and many cases we didn’t have the capacity to handle or didn’t specialize in. It made me think there had to be a better way to manage this. My brother, me, our head of marketing, Teresa Diep, came up with the idea together. We wanted Justice HQ to be a place where lawyers could work and network together while also having access to resources that could help scale their businesses.
How can you join Justice HQ?
Robert Simon: You have to apply to become a member of Justice HQ. We screen all our applicants because it’s our goal to work with the best of the best in the industry. Our founding members and board of directors were also hand-selected, so we want to continue the elite selection process.
After you’re approved, you have access to our online platform that is home to a remote mailroom, our member-driven document bank, the secure messaging platform and member directory, and educational video content. You also get access to flexible workspaces and conference rooms in Downtown Los Angeles, Torrance, and Orange County, and we’re planning on expanding to San Diego and San Francisco soon.
Is Justice HQ the future for the legal industry?
Robert Simon: I believe it is. The legal tech industry is a Multi-Billion dollar industry that’s only going to grow. Not only is it tough to compete now as a traditional brick and mortar business, but Justice HQ is also able to help attorneys have a greater quality of life by providing a better work-life balance.
