Louis Tomlinson is getting a little too frank. In a recent conversation with Smallzy on the Surgery podcast, the singer outstretched up about his candid thoughts on One Direction’s first album Up All Night and he was not a fan. Tomlinson conveyed that as a former member, their debut narrative was not their best.
During the interview, the 30-year-old singer recalled his past music with One Direction as he shared, Twelve years back today the band got originated, but the first album was s–t anyway. The boy cluster first debuted with their album in 2011 and although Tomlinson was not a huge fan of the form, it went on to sell 4.5 million copies worldwide, a clear testament to the band’s overwhelming vogue. On the album were some of 1D’s most significant hits yet like What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing. Following their preferably, the group went on to release four more albums, completing with Made in the A.M. in 2015.
Louis also spoke about seeing his footing in the industry independently after the band went on a hiatus indefinitely. In 2020, Louis came out with his first solitary album Walls. In the sit-down, Tomlinson exposed how there’s still a lot of pressure on him after going solo with his work as he revealed, There’s still pressure apparently for me to produce a good record . . . and me attempting to find my feet reaching out of a band as great as One Direction.
