It’s a happy time for DC fans as the release of the highly waited Shazam! Fury of the Gods or Shazam 2 trailer has been launched. This movie was supposed to be released in June 2023, but it has suppressed its fans.
Apart from this many more DC comic movies including The Flash, Black Adam, Aquaman 2, Wonka, and DC League of Super-Pets are being woefully delayed, as revealed by Warner Bros.
The first part of Shazam film was introduced in the DC world in 2019 itself which was directed by David F. Sandberg, with Asher Angel as Billy Batson as a star the whole plot rotated around the life of a struggling foster child, who has superhero abilities whenever he utters the word ‘SHAZAM’.
Billy Batson can call extraordinary supernatural abilities in his chant and instantly convert into a superhero.
In Shazam 2 writer Henry Gayden return, giving the Dc fans another reason to delight. An exciting short glimpse was released at the DC FanDome way back in 2021, indicating a more comprehensive picture crossing the real world and the Empire of the Gods.
THE CAST MEMBERS-Asher Angel will be portrayed as superhero extraordinaire and Shazam’s human counterpart, Billy Batson with director Sandberg and writer Gayden and Zachary respectively. Adam Goldberg plays his superhero replication, whereas Jack Dylan Grazer is Freddy, Billy’s best friend with Ross Butler (Eugene), and Michelle Borth (Mary).
Also, another slight change is that Borth is no longer playing the superhero version of Mary, instead, it will be played by Grace Fulton playing both versions of Mary just with little different hair and makeup.
It was predicted by fans that Mark Strong would repay as the villainous Dr. Thaddeus Sivana whereas Djimon Hounsou gave us a surprise by returning as The Wizard Shazam despite deteriorating in the first movie.
In the sequel we can expect as usual our Shazam will have to negotiate with some angry creators, more than that we don’t know that much about what surprise the movie holds.
