Once Vincent Van Gogh rightly said “It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.” Art is highly subjective and dynamic, it’s up to one’s own interpretation and how one utilizes it. Music is a form of art that has the unique power to unite people, it is the language of love. Where words fall short, music begins.
Today, we’ll be talking about a musical artist who through his work has made a unique place in people’s hearts. We are talking about Toronto Based Artist Mashawi. Coming from a musical background, Mashawi knew that he had music running down his viens but it was not before 2018 that he realized that he needed to pursue music.
And then after a lot of blood, sweat and tears, he finally released his first single- “Did it own my own” in August 2018. Mashawi through his music becomes the voice for voiceless, his songs represent the story of almost all underground rap artists. Mashawi’s songs involve elements of deep storytelling and unmatched cadences and wordplays. Mashawi has released number of tracks that have already made a considerable impact on the Toronto Hip Hop scene and is continuously working on his upcoming projects. His tracks like “Sin City” and “Chocolate” are still played by many on loop and his debut album “Rise N Shine” gave him the push that actually helped him to get the recognition that one needs at the starting of his career.
Now that he is more motivated than ever, he is all ready to put out some new music for his fans. His upcoming release “Please Don’t call my Phone” is expected to release on April 1,2022 and is also coming with another album in May which is expected to bring a revolution in the scene.
