Fans are ready to go to any extent to display their love for the sport and their favourite player. There are many aspiring sports persons who want to excel in this sport, but a few are able to make it to the top. Iranian player Alireza Monazzemi who tops amongst the world’s best always dreamt of topping the sport, and he made sure to make his prominent place in the sport by displaying his tremendous skills which helped him gain a favourable position in the world of football.
This 20-year-old player plays as a midfielder for Aluminium Arak in the Persian Gulf Pro League. He first made his debut for Zob Ahan in 16th fixtures of 2018–19 Iran Pro League against Nassaji Mazandaran while he substituted in for Amir Arsalan Motahari, and since then has raced ahead and shown his exemplary skills which have taken him to astounding levels of success today. We ask him about his early days and how he was drawn towards this sport, to which he answers, “as long as I remember, I have always been a football fan and was deeply involved in the sport, whether watching any match in television or going to watch two teams playing against each other in the neighborhood football ground. With time, I realized that this was the career I wanted to pursue and started training for it. There were a lot of struggles initially, buy I kept improving my game till I was noticed and offered to play in the league.”
Since the time he stepped in as a professional player, he has given his heart and soul to the game and that’s evident in his game, which is quite impressive. He says he wants to see Iranian football rub shoulder to shoulder with the world’s best, and is constantly striving hard to achieve his dream.
