Gadot auditioned for Fury Road before Fast and Furious had even come out, back when she was searching for a greater job in Hollywood. In the book, Gadot said that she was the runner-up for Furiosa with Charlize, and “had so many almosts for enormous, incredible things, yet she was never large enough of a name.” Of course, Gadot would proceed to debut as Diana, princess of the Amazons, in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , preceding starring in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman, Justice League and Wonder Woman which have solidified her as the quintessential, true to life Wonder Woman.
While it’s fascinating to envision Gadot in Fury Road, that casting would’ve totally changed the direction of her and Theron’s careers. Following her job as Furiosa, Theron has featured actions films including Atomic Blonde and The Old Guard, the two of which have sequels in the works. Gadot as of late showed up in Netflix’s Red Notice, is set to star in the Cleopatra biopic, and her residency in the DC Extended Universe will go on with a third Wonder Woman film set to release in theaters in December 2023. As for Furiosa, Anya Taylor-Joy will play the character in a prequel film.
Lady Gadot once auditioned to play Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road and was allegedly “unimaginable.” George Miller’s low-spending plan Mad Max was released in 1979, starring Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky. The film’s special post-prophetically calamitous world warranted the greenlighting of two sequels, the two of which were released during the 80s. Decades after the fact, Miller revisited his reality with a fourth film, Fury Road (2015), starring Tom Hardy as Max and Charlize Theron as another character, Furiosa.
Fury Road sees Max caught by a warlike religion drove by the overbearing Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne). However used as a blood supply for one of Joe’s War Boys, Nux (Nicholas Hoult), Max soon finds himself engaged with a rapid pursuit alongside Furiosa, a high-positioning official in Joe’s army who is helping the religion chief’s wives escape in her War Rig. On top of being a basic and business success, many consider Fury Road to be one of the greatest action films ever.
