The world has been in constant war since the covid has hit us. Not only it has affected people’s life but has also taught us a lot about humanity and sustainability. While most people are still dwelling on the negative side of it, Samrat Abhay Thorat, a current member of the law committee, name committee member of PMC, and the corporator(councilor) from BJP in PMC(Pune Municipal Corporation) has entirely a different view of it.
On asking about his views, he said, “ The covid-19 crisis is here to teach us the consequences of harming nature. I accept the fact that it has been harsh on all of our lives by literally snatching the life of someone but it has also taught us to value every moment.” As an influential personality, he knows the power he holds and he uses it to help people and be the change in society. Samrat says, “ As a public figure, we have a certain responsibility towards the public after all they are the ones who make us. If we can’t help them during these tough times then I don’t believe that we deserve the love that we get from them.”
Reportedly, Samrat Abhay Thorat has been with people 24*7 during the pandemic and helped them in every possible way. He has distributed grocery kits to more than 3500 families and has given more than 45000 food packets to needy people. On asking about his take on fighting the covid crisis together, he says, “ As a public figure and as a genuine human we all are doing everything we can do. But the only way we can fight it is if we stick together and be on the same page. The time is indeed tougher but it will pass.”
Samrat has also set up blood donation camps, plasma donation, and health checkup camps during the covid times by keeping people’s best interests in his mind. He believes that the tougher times will end soon with his diligent efforts and people’s cooperation Fighting against the covid-19 crisis is the real challenge but by getting inspired by Samrat’s good deeds, we all can defeat it in no time.
