Kit Harington doesn’t know what’s next for his character Dane Whitman after Marvel’s Eternals film. Harington’s character Dane is presented as the human boyfriend of Sersi (Gemma Chan), who is an empathetic Eternal that has a solid association with humans and Earth. Acting like an exhibition hall curator on Earth, Sersi dates Dane, who also works at the Natural History Museum in London. While the film doesn’t dig into Dane’s backstory and family history to an extreme, comic book fans know that there is considerably more coming up for Harington’s character.
In a select meeting with Screen Rant, Harington reveals that he doesn’t know what’s next for Dane after Eternals. Saying that he “can’t really talk” about what’s coming up for Dane, he does “trust there will be” more strides to the character’s excursion. While he doesn’t know what’s next, he says that comic book fans “may have ideas” about the character’s future. View Harington’s reaction to what’s next for Dane in the select meeting below:

I can’t really talk as to next strides of Dane’s excursion. I trust there will be, and it’s one reason I played the job. It ideally sets him up for some stuff later on, which could be really energizing. In case you’re a comic book fan, you may have ideas about what that is. But I’ve no idea at this point.
It’s simply invigorating to sort of dig into this. It’s gonna be a cool ride.
While Harington may not “be privy” to the eventual fate of Dane in the MCU, plainly Marvel has substantially more coming up for the character. Proven by the post-credits scene, Eternals albeit briefly teases the ascent of Black Knight with references to the Ebony Blade. Although Harington as Dane Whitman doesn’t have a lot of screen time in Marvel’s latest film, fans can hope to see considerably more of him very soon.
