The Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City poster teases the origins of the T Virus and zombie outbreak in the titular American city. The 2021 film is inspired by Capcom’s notable survival-repulsiveness video game franchise. It is detached to the primary Resident Evil movie series that was coordinated by Paul W.S. Anderson, with Johannes Roberts taking on directorial obligations.

Posted on the Resident Evil Twitter account, the film’s poster sets the more genuine tone of the upcoming release while leaning into the franchise’s key settings. The poster features a bloodied and torn umbrella inspired by the villainous Umbrella Corporation’s logo before the Raccoon City Police Department, a notable location from the second and third game that’s been faithfully recreated for the film. The poster also features the film’s title and tagline, “Witness The Beginning Of Evil,” while also featuring the movies’ November 24th release date. Check out the poster beneath:

Welcome To Raccoon City was announced in 2017 following the release of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, with makers confirming a reboot, which was underway. Roberts joined the venture in 2018, taking up directing obligations and becoming the essayist, following Mortal Kombat author, Greg Roberts, leaving the secure. Photos of the film’s cast were released in August 2021, showing off Kaya Scodelerio, Avan Jogia, Robbie Amell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Tom Hopper as Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Albert Wesker. Photos were also released of Resident Evil beast, Lisa Trevor, who will be played by Marina Mazepa.

The latest poster for the upcoming blood and gore flick is a promising sign to fans of the franchise, with the film’s teaser poster and portrayal of the RPD looking incredibly similar to late covers for the video game series, like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Roberts recently stated that he was inspired by the tone of Resident Evil 2’s 2019 remake, wanting to utilize it as a model for his film. As such, fans who partook in the remake’s tone and story ought to be calmed to hear that Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City is aiming to faithfully recapture what made the game a fan favorite.
