“Abstract Art”, the term sounds very interesting but how many of us actually understand it? Expressing emotions through art is something which we have almost forgotten in this digital era, ironically the purpose of creativity. Actions, words and the mismatch between the two is something that goes on in today’s times clouding people’s judgements on what truly fulfils their soul.Talking about abstract art, it is all about freedom. The freedom to express without a fixed form or to use a form as a metaphor. It is a choice. To use paints with a brush or to throw them on a canvas, to follow Jackson Pollock or to create your own unique style; abstract art allows you to do everything you want as long as it allows your emotions to transcend. As an artist, my style primarily deals with telling a story. Using elements or symbols that depict the particular emotion at that specific time, and inculcating them into a masterpiece. Bold and beautiful colours are the main heroes, breaking all stereotypes of hues and palettes. Contrary to popular belief, this representation doesn’t necessarily have to be through a painting, it can be a sculpture, an animation, a sketch or even a digital illustration. When it comes to global audience, it is vital to make sure that your art speaks. It should either communicate your story or create an experience for the audience. Be it with colours, strokes, shapes, splashes, lines, curves, gestures or just negative space. Every single element of the piece matters. For diverse groups, it is essential to be considerate about cultural differences. Creating goodwill through art as well as your approach towards art will inevitably take you a long way.Abstract art introduces the effect of an emotion, perceived and experienced differently across the globe, yet an exceptional opportunity to bond using the language of creativity. Your art will create a journey, while your style will determine the travelling experience for each and every person. As the legendary artist Jackson Pollock rightfully said, “It doesn’t matter how the paint is put on, as long as something is said”.Use this beautiful language effectively to leave a mark on the globe.
