James Gunn has more projects coming in the DCEU, says the head of DC Films. Shortly after being let go from Disney in 2018, Warner Bros. immediately employed James Gunn to take the reins on The Suicide Squad, the stand-alone continuation of the 2016 film that performed well in the cinematic world but was panned by critics and crowds. Now The Suicide Squad is set to open and has gotten the absolute best surveys of Gunn’s vocation and is currently the highest-rated DCEU film on Rotten Tomatoes, a sharp contrast to the first film being the worst-assessed entry in the series on the site.
In an interview with THR, DC Films President Walter Hamada hinted that Gunn would return to the universe. Hamada talked about how he delighted in functioning with Gunn and is always welcome back. Hamada said he and Gunn have more projects arranged but didn’t reveal exactly what or on the other hand in the event that it would be another film or series. Hamada said:

“Gunn is always welcome back, whatever he wants to do. He really has a dream and he’s a great partner with us. At whatever point he wants to return, we’re prepared for him. He’ll be back. We have more stuff arranged.”
Gunn has effectively affirmed he has had thoughts for more side projects dependent on The Suicide Squad, so the next project could be a television show in the vein of Peacemaker. Ratcatcher 2, Polka-Dot Man, Bloodsport, and King Shark would all be ones that could essentially hold their own series. Given the popularity of Harley Quinn, Gunn could deal with a project including her. Peacemaker is even set to introduce two new saints to the DCEU, Adriana Chase otherwise known as Vigilante, and Judomaster. Those two characters have a rich heritage that stretches far once again into DC Comics history that, contingent upon how they are gotten in Peacemaker, could fill in as a springboard for more current projects. Whatever DCEU project Gunn chooses next, it will be one worth the wait.
