Kevin Smith has revealed that Marvel Studios has plans for Werewolf By Night. Smith, a long-lasting Marvel funnies fan, was at one direct set toward work on a Howard the Duck animated series for Hulu that would have connected to M.O.D.O.K to shape an occasion series, The Offenders. Hulu chose not to push ahead with Howard the Duck, but rather Smith reveals that he planned to present the religion favorite saint, Werewolf by Night, into the series.
According to Comicbook.com, via The Fatman Beyond podcast that Kevin Smith co-has alongside Marc Bernardin, Smith reveals that Marvel Studios film division has plans for Werewolf by Night. He talked about how when he was creating his Howard the Duck series, he wanted to incorporate a lot of characters Marvel presented during the 1970s and one of them was Werewolf by Night. Jeph Loeb, who was then Executive Vice President of Marvel TV, revealed to Smith that Werewolf by Night was forbidden because of plans from the film division. Read what Smith said beneath:

For a super hot moment, I was dealing with Howard the Duck and before Dave [Willis, Aqua Teen Hunger Force co-creator] included, when it was simply me, Jeph Loeb resembled ‘Hello man, I think you’d be useful for Howard the f- – lord Duck.’ I reached out to Walter Flanagan from Comic Book Men and disclosed to him I’m gonna take a stab at all the f- – ruler 70s characters. Walt was giving ideas and Werewolf By Night was absolutely on the rundown. In my head, as I started fabricating my season, I resembled, ‘Alright. Scene 5. Werewolf by Night.’ The idea of our story was that Howard was trapped here and he was attempting to get pages of the Darkhold, which would allow him to return. There’s Howard as I’m laying it out and then, at that point I go into Jeph and mentioned to him what I wanted to do, and that’s the point at which they said ‘You can’t utilize Werewolf by Night,’ and I asked why. They said the film division was utilizing him.
