As the memories of ‘Janta Curfew’ and the nation-wide lockdown triggered by the Covid-19 outbreak haunt the country, it is important to recall the work of a few individuals who rose to the situation and made a difference by reaching out to the needy and ignited the ideas of helping the needy among their age group. One of them is Apurv Yadav, who heroically broke barriers and put his life at risk to serve the community when Covid-19 crisis was at its peak.
From serving migrant labourers by providing them with food and shelter to arranging a safe & secure passage for bringing migrant workers from their workplace to their native place with a very limited resources, Apurv Yadav played many roles.
The terrible situation when every minute one is stumbling upon people struggling to get a bed in a hospital, life support occupied beds, oxygen cylinders or life saving medicine for critical Covid-19 patients, Apurv Yadav emerged as a ray of hope for those who are in distress and offered his relentless cooperation.
In a personal conversation with Apurv, He mentioned it haunts him that he has not been able to help so many. But there are also moments which give him immense satisfaction.
As of now, Apurv’s story is the one that reached to us but there are plenty of unnamed heroes who are working silently every single day to save lives.
