Curtis Weeks is a renowned mental performance coach hailing from Upper Hutt New Zealand. He was born and brought up in Auckland. Since his school life in Northcote College, Curtis has gone through a lot of challenges and hardships from where he has got to learn a lot of lessons in his life. These struggles also made him mentally strong. In his book, “From WHY ME To TRY ME”, he wrote about the struggles in his early life and how they helped him to become a strong and courageous person who is ready to fight any hardship in his life.
Initially, in the year 2007, Curtis Weeks worked as a chef for the Royal New Zealand Navy. Even though it was quite a tough and stressful job but he found it quite satisfying. From the year 2008 to 2010 he had been cooking for those who were helping rebuild the villages of island countries Samoa and Tonga which was badly affected by the Tsunami. Later he helped the locals in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2014. In the year 2016, he finished his naval chef career and then became a part of the New Zealand Defence force as a physical training instructor. Later he was in charge of the physical training of the onboard members and also did other team-related jobs. He became one of the go-to instructors for unarmed combat and brought many reforms and improvements in the system. To this day, his contributions are of significance for the New Zealand Defence Force.
