The contemporary world has witnessed people who left their profession for passion, people who left their dreams behind to move on in career. But there only few people capable of chasing their dreams yet winning in the professional lives. One such person is Ahmed Isa Al Khalifa, a football lover, and a great public servant from Bahrain.
Ahmed Isa Al Khalifa, 32, is a member of Bahrain’s royal family. Despite his royal status, he is a die-hard fan of the liver poor football club. Al Khalifa travels every year from Bahrain to Liverpool, England, to meet the players there. He played many matches in association with Riffa sports club, a Bahraini professional sports club in Riffa. Ahmed often cherishes his first win in Riffa, the moments he was holding the kingcup, the anxious final battles in winning the league.
Ahmed Al Khalifa has seen great success in his professional life. He graduated with a BBA from the New York Institute of Technology. Later mastered business administration (MBA) from DePaul University. He then worked as Ministry of Housing as Chief of Financial Resources for 7 years from 2010 to 2017. It is this time that he accomplished a big successful project, Mazaya social financing scheme.
His hardworking nature landed him as a board member of Eskan Bank, one of the leading government banks in Bahrain. The expertise, love, and passion for football traveled along with him throughout his journey. He served as Olympic team director in the Football Association of Bahrain from 2017 to 2020. He was also a player for 2 years in U18 teams before serving as a director of Bahrain U23 football national team.
Currently, Ahmed is working as a director of the Urban Planning & Development Authority, Bahrain. He also a board member of Bahrain Royal Equestrian & Endurance Federation and Al-Riffa Sports Club, a prominent football club in Riffa. He is attentively managing the team and club investments in these clubs.
This generation is witnessing a blend of professionalism and a profound passion in the name of Ahmed Al Khalifa. He established his own identity in whichever field he undertook but never left his passion for football. The service he has done and is doing for Bahrain’s football club is memorable, which is driving new talent to the field.
