Italian food is a very diverse cuisine. Each of the twenty Italian regions has its own distinctive set of flavours, recipes, and obviously the ingredients. In fact, the Italian regions were not officially united as a nation until the mid-19th century; therefore, each individual region has retained much of its exclusive identity. A wide regional assortment of wonderful breads and other famous can be found throughout Italy. Moreover, when it comes to Italian food, who wouldn’t remember Chef Cristian Marino – a brilliant man who believes in the importance of self-expression as well as a creative mind. These are the traits that led him to be the man he is today.

Cristian Marino’s Early Life

Chef Cristian Marino was born in Milan. He had moved to Calabria at a very young age, soon after moving to Calabria, Cristian began learning cooking from their parents’ restaurant. However, to explore this world, right before leaving Italy, Cristian had to make sure that he attained enough of what Italy has to offer by working in different places inside the country. At the age of 17, he left the south and moved back to the north of Italy where he had studied at the “E. Maggia“ Gastronomy school present in Stresa on the Maggiore Lake. Moreover, he had spent his evenings working in hotels and restaurants in the area .

Cristian’s resume includes a travel experience of over 10 countries, and along with a work portfolio in restaurants present in Asia, Europe and Middle East. He has also obtained ‘The Golden Q’ from Ospitalità Italiana for all the Italian restaurants that he has worked for. Along with that, he has also achieved the ‘Silver Plate’ which he had obtained after he had met with representative of the Accademia Italiana Della Cucina in one of the hotel restaurants he had worked for.

Along with his experiences within Italy, France , UK, Spain , Croatia, Romania , Bulgaria ,Indonesia and Dubai. Cristian has worked in 10 different countries and has visited 30 countries while working for Silversea – a multi-awarded 6 stars Cruise Ship. And He affirmed his career as Executive chef in Europe for Radisson Blu and InterContinental. After that he went to work at the Marriott International, East Java in Indonesia, just to work as a Complex Executive Chef for the two pre-opening hotels. Now, he is an Italian Chef consultant for the global hospitality market.

Cristian believes that contemporary Italian cuisine is based on following concepts: intention, passion, consistency, character, style and authenticity. However, some of these concepts, like style, have been overused and possibly lost some of their strength along with authenticity, but being truly authentic to yourself and culinary style is not to be taken for granted.

The Flagship service of Chef Cristian Marino is his ‘CM Menu’, an authentic Italian menu signed by Chef Cristian himself, a menu solely conceived for your business. Chef Cristian Marino undertakes to design, implement and maintain this service with scheduled visits throughout the year. The basic idea for this service is to provide the menu to the authentic Italian restaurants and international hotels worldwide.
